Aktive's vision:

Auckland Tamaki Makaurau - the world's most active city.

Thanks to special funding from organisations like Sports Aktive, we have opened community classes throughout Auckland, where tuition fees are heavily subsidised.

Our program is designed to remove financial barriers and help young people stay active, build confidence, and learn the art of Wushu Kungfu in a fun and inclusive environment

CNSST Foundation (CNSST), formerly known as Chinese New Settlers Services Trust, together with NZ Wushu Academy, are holding Chinese kung-fu wushu classes in schools and at their centres.

Martial arts or Wushu, have been created and developed for self-defence and survival throughout human history. Proper Chinese Wushu training improves physical ability, health, and willpower; it gives an individual an excellent method of exercise, a personal art form, a competitive sport, and a basis for sparring and self-defence. These abilities will also help learners through out their lives in any other sports and activities they might learn in the future.
